The BMW 1-Series Sedan is a vehicle that takes months and months giving what to talk about, and for two different reasons. In the first place, by the possibility of mounting traction on the front axle and, in the second place, because it seems that when the German firm has no plans to launch it on the european market, something that the majority will not, we understand, by booking exclusively for the chinese market and, as we talked a few days ago, maybe for part of America.
has Recently opened its doors to the Car show in Guangzhou, in China. There has debuted the BMW 1-Series Sedan to be sold in this oriental country. Says Jochen Goller, in charge of Sales and Marketing of the brand, “the BMW 1-Series Sedan is born at the right time, in the right place and for the right people”. And is that China has potential customers of Premium vehicles in europe and, for many of them, are young people who are the sporty design of BMW I may like it more than the Mercedes, for example.
In terms of the model in question, it is easily recognizable as a BMW, especially if we see it from the front or from the passenger compartment. As in all BMW, the “morro” is dominated by the two typical kidneys of the German company, while the headlights and the shapes of the bumpers are similar to what the brand has accustomed us in recent years.
Where to find a design “a bit strange” is in the back. The waist line is very high, and the third volume seems to be too high in comparison with the rest of the sedans on the market, or at least that is the sensations that we perceive through the images. For its part, the interior is 100 % BMW. Box, instruments, steering wheel, dashboard, home screen, etc., are identical to what the German brand offers in its vehicles smaller in size.
Mechanically will come with the thrusters 1.5 and 2 litres of new generation with boost and three and four cylinders respectively, which is expected to develop 136, 192 and 231 HP in this sedan. As we have said many times, but it is a pity (despite the front-wheel-drive) BMW 1-Series Sedan has not yet reached our market.
