Baur is a German company based in Stuttgart, for several decades she was responsible for developing vehicles convertibles for BMW, although it has also collaborated on multiple occasions with other German manufacturers. The vehicle that we see in the images, and the protagonist of these lines is one of the 311 units that Baur produced the BMW 3 Series of the generation e36, which responds to the appellation Baur BMW 318i TC4.
As we can see, this limited edition was on a BMW 3 Series e36 sedan which simply removed the ceiling while maintaining that yes, the central pillars both in its vertical position as in the horizontal of the roof. A car very rarely-seen and strange in the eyes of those who don’t know, because it is not common to find yourself with a car three volumes and four doors that lost the roof. On A visual level, as you don’t lose the pillars, looks like a double sun roof more than a body convertible.
The Series 3 e36 already had its own convertible version, although unlike this Baur TC4 started from the base of the Series 3 e36 coupé, which made it more palatable and gave a greater image of the convertible to lose the central pillar and having only two doors. Perhaps that’s why they only produced 311 units of Baur.
A these 311 units, which we see in the images, is now in auction on Ebay, although in the united States. Currently the price of the bid is 5.350 $ , around 4,800 euros. Despite the fact that the box of watches brand 182.600 miles, their conservation status is apparently pretty good. Has manual change of five marches, close electric and centralized, and power windows. In addition, the seller asserts that it is the first Baur TC4 that came to the united States.
A sentence that does not leave very cost effective to bring a car as well from America to Europe, as the costs of transport in relation to the price of the vehicle will be very high. However, it is an opportunity to be with a car is simple but at the same time very different of what we’re accustomed to, don’t you think?
