Dacia Duster (or Renault Duster according to the market that we’re talking about) has become the goose that lays the eggs for the Renault-Nissan Alliance. From that came to the market already a few years ago their sales have not stopped growing, doing that becomes in many countries in the option chosen SUV for families.
so Many are the markets in which it is present, that talk about a range or mechanical equipment common becomes almost impossible. However, in terms of engines and gearboxes the thing tends to be fairly balanced if the markets are of the same region of the world. In this case, before the growing demand for automatic gearboxes the leaders of Dacia (or Renault) have decided to include a new version petrol with an automatic gearbox type CVT.
The range Duster already has a version with a gearbox of auto slitting. In this case, the dual-clutch transmission and six-speed is associated to the well-known engine 1.5 dCi with 110 hp. With this set of mechanics and change the Duster has a sales mix pretty good but to increase it even more, now she will be a new variant.
In this case, instead of using an automatic gearbox with double clutch, will employ a more simple type CVT. In addition, in place of go-coupled to a mechanical powered by oil, will be associated with a gasoline 1.6-liter displacement and 104 hp. This block is already being used by the model, and although its performance and consumption are rather discreet, the makers of the brand could not carry it to all the markets where it sells the model.
so soon unknown countries that will be selling the Dacia Duster automatic in petrol. In a first moment it will not come to Europe, but it all depends on demand and if customers are interested in this combination. Its price and equipment have not been reported, but it shouldn’t take long in knowing both.
