The Datsun GO-Cross Concept made its debut in Japan

Datsun prepares for its first crossover and this week we exhibited at the Tokyo motor show. This is the Datsun GO-Cross Concept, a prototype that takes as base the architecture CMF-A.

While at first it was believed that it could be a sports, finally prevailed rationality, because in reality it is the Datsun GO-Cross Concept, a conceptual work that teaches us the strokes, which would adopt the first crossover of the new Datsun if it comes to the market as a series-production model.

The prototype is based on the platform CMF-A, which is also used by the Datsun GO and GO + and your body-it allows us to appreciate many points of contact with the GO+, although with a new style front and a posterior sector subtly altered, though to the sides the similarities between the two models become evident. The rest of the aesthetics it adopts the typical qualities of this type of product, such as protectors under the bumper, the plastic in the wheel arches, molding plastic in the lower area of the body, bars on the roof and suspensions raised. It also has alloy wheels of larger diameter and tires mixed use.

Datsun has not given details about its mechanics, but it is expected to use the three-cylinder engine with block 1.2-litre that use several of the products of the brand. However it would not be strange to think that the adoption of the diesel dCi 1.5-liter Renault-Nissan.

Datsun says that this prototype is presented as a possible expansion of the family of models Datsun GO, exploring in the segment of crossover/SUV. Despite the fact that it is still not confirmed its arrival to the market, taking into account that this is a niche that the brand still is not exploiting, it would not be strange that their production will be announced in the short term.
