The Peugeot 208 produced in Brazil is preparing to receive its first update. As part of the developments, released a new three cylinder PureTech 1.2 with 84 HP.
El Peugeot 208, manufactured in Brazil, is about to receive the same cosmetic changes that the european version and as part of new developments shall have in addition to a better mechanical. The current engine of 1.5 liter 8V will be replaced by the modern PureTech block three-cylinder and 1.2-liter displacement.
according to what this week points to the site Autossegredos, it is a propellant that will have an output of 84 HP at 5.750 rpm, with a torque of 120 Nm at 2.750 rpm. Without a doubt, this is one of the most noticeable updates that you’ll have the Peugeot 208 in its line by 2017, although this will not be the only one, because there will also be two new sports variants of so-called Sport and GT.
The first of them will have a engine Flexstart 1.6-liter 16v 120 HP, while in the case of the GT will opt for the stainless THP-turbo 1.6-litre, in this case with a yield of 165 HP, combined with a manual change of six marches.
In aesthetic terms, the modifications will be very discreet, in tune with what we saw in the 208, which debuted last year in the framework of the Geneva motor show. The changes affect the front, with a few renewed bumper, headlights, rear lights and new sets of alloy wheels.
