The fog marks the test of the Porsche 919 Hybrid in Aragon

It will not be until February when the Porsche 919 Hybrid to roll with
the specification definitive of 2017, but until then the work does not cease
for Porsche Motorsport
. And so, it has become apparent with the test organized by
the mark in MotorLand Aragon this week and that has been rather limited
during the first three days because of the fog. In spite of this,
Earl Bamber and Brendon Hartley in the first instance and Nick Tandy and Neel Jani
second instance have been able to test some new components that will be
used in the prototype German the next year.

During the first three days of testing, There has
been a victim of dense fog banks
, a situation that has been repeated in many
regions of Spain. This fact has been largely confined to the program
work from Porsche Motorsport, but the team has been able to test in batches
short some of the components intended for the aero kit, low-load
will be used in the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and the 24 Hours of Le Mans
in the next year. In addition, during the phases of fog more intense the mechanical
have been used for the test pit stop
and other movements of the competition.

All in all, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber have had to
deal with the most ungrateful of this test
, which have been the two
pilots in charge of getting to the controls of the Porsche 919 Hybrid during the
first days in Alcañiz. The relay both have taken Nick Tandy and Neel
, which luckily for the team they have been met with atmospheric conditions
more favorable and therefore have been able to intensify the pace on a Porsche 919
Hybrid as in other categories presents for the occasion a body
full vinyl camouflage

All in all, this first test is very important because it will
as a starting point when developing a Porsche 919 Hybrid that will equip
between 70 and 80% of components, brand-new
. A LMP1 that will be great
mission of defending the title won by Porsche Motorsport in the World
Resistance (WEC) before a Toyota TS050 Hybrid that promises to be faster and more reliable in 2017.
Now the only question that remains to resolve is whether any of the two
manufacturers give you the step of having a third prototype in the 24 Hours of
Le Mans.
