The Hyundai i20 R5 is very close to debut and it is for this reason that the Korean company has prepared a competition in which professional designers and amateur enthusiasts could send their design proposals in relation to the first non World Rally Car that will come out of the headquarters of Hyundai Motorsport in Alzenau. After receiving several dozens of designs from all over the world, finally the livery winner has been presented by the new zealander Andrew Stewart, a specialist of the AWS Graphics. Your proposal will be the one that will look the Hyundai i20 R5 in its official debut, which could very well be in the next Ypres Rally.
The design of Andrew Stewart is based on the colors that looks the Hyundai i20 WRC ‘new generation’, although it is true that the distribution and the tones are not exactly the same. In this aspect, the blue, the orange, the black and the white are the tones chosen, following the pattern color that has the Hyundai i20 WRC 2016 of Dani Sordo and company. However, the blue is much darker, the orange brighter and the combination of all of the shades follows a scheme completely different in the nomenclature R5 is repeated in different points of the vehicle.
Perhaps the most striking aspect is that the blue is the protagonist in the front, hood, and front axle, while the orange dominates the rear axle, rear and spoiler, leaving the front tires painted blue and the rims of the rear wheels in orange. Under this livery and after starring in the development of the car, Kevin Abbring will make his debut in the Hyundai i20 R5, a vehicle is an important step for the Korean company, because the orders that you receive from private computers will involve an injection of budget extra to the program of Hyundai Motorsport in the WRC.
