Infiniti Q50 is the saloon half of the subsidiary’s luxury Nissan. A car comparable to the Audi A4 or the Mercedes C-Class, even if it is a few inches longer than these. After the announcement of the gorgeous Q60, the sedan – with which it shares a platform – inherited from his brother “rolled up” its renewed range of turbocharged engines. In Spain is only sold with its hybrid engine 364 HP, in addition to the diesel 2.2 d 170 HP. Soon the range of engines for the Infiniti Q50 will exceed 400 HP, with three new petrol turbo.
The engine 2.0 t is of origin Mercedes-Benz, being the V6 turbo a development of Nissan.
The first of these engines – officially presented at the Salon of Chicago, from a low profile, but loaded with interesting news – is a 2.0 turbo four-cylinder engine with 211 HP of power and 350 Nm of torque maximum. This engine can also be found in the range Q30 and in a crowd of Mercedes, from the Class until the versions of access the Class E. it Will be the propellant more sold in Europe, with the permission of the block diesel. It will be possible to purchase an Infiniti Q50 traction integral, optionally.
The other two engines are two versions of the same VR30 Twin-Turbo six-cylinder. The 3.0 V6 double turbo will be the end of the VQ37 – among others propel to the Nissan 370Z – and it will be offered with two iterations of power. The first develops up to 405 HP and 475 Nm of torque between 1,600 rpm and 5,300 rpm – it will be sold under a finish called Red Sport – while its second version develops 304 HP, with a torque more moderate: 400 Nm, available between 1,600 rpm and 5,200 rpm.
Predictably, both propellers will be offered only with the automatic gearbox seven relations, already announced for the Infiniti Q60 Coupe.
