The Kia Soul 2017 arrives in Europe, with updated design and engine 1.6 T-GDi 204 HP

Kia Soul 2017, all the details of the model for Europe

After an official presentation in South Korea for your local market, the Kia Soul 2017 comes to Europe: the ‘face wash’ for this particular crossover will be presented at the Paris Salon 2016, incorporating numerous innovations that affect not only its design but also its equipment, technology and a range of engines. Will be on sale in dealerships at the end of this year.

Starting with your most visible changes, the exterior of the Kia Soul 2017 is distinguished by its new front and rear bumpers, with a metal protection on the bottom part of your front. The grill ‘tiger nose‘ is also updated slightly in appearance, and, optionally, can be incorporated into headlights bixenon HID with LED daytime running lights.

Other developments of this ‘facelift’ for the Kia Soul european are their alloy wheels of 16 inches, with a design of ten radios, and two new paintings by metalized Mysterious Blue or , Wild Orange: the first combines with roof and mirrors in white color. Will be available two packs optional, ‘Urban Active’ -with wheel in gloss black- or ‘Red Zone’, with roof, rear spoiler and other minor exterior details in red color.

In equipment, the most prominent one is a USB socket for the rear seats and a multimedia system HMI completely renovated: with touch screen 5 or 7 inches, it includes compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

engine 1.6 T-GDi is premiered at the Kia Soul, making it the most powerful model thanks to its 204 CV. This mechanical four-cylinders with turbo and direct injection was already available in the Kia pro_Ceed GT, and allows the Soul to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7,8 seconds, reaching the 200 km/h of maximum speed. Its average consumption approved is 6.9 litres/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 156 g/km

Kia Soul 1.6 T-GDi will only be available with change automatic 7DCT, of double clutch and seven relations. Via the button Drive Mode Selector allows to choose three modes of operation (Normal, Eco or Sport). In addition, this version includes series bumper more aggressive, largest brakes, alloy wheels 18 inch, dual exit exhaust, upholstery mixed leather and fabric next to the pack ‘Red Zone’.
