The history of Lamborghini Concept S is quite curious. This model was presented in Geneva back in the year 2005. As its name indicates, it was a prototype, but the Italian brand had a firm idea to bring it to production by making a shot very limited. It is planned to build 100 units, but the plans were cut short and the story took a radical turn.
The production of the Concept S supposed to be about soaring costs and in its development it lost a lot of time. By these inconveniences, we finally made it only one unit, which has been used for exhibition. This same unit returned to the spotlight a long time ago due to the auction house RM Sotheby’s announced that this exclusive model would go to auction.
A priori, it might seem like a good opportunity for a collector to get a unique vehicle. Has a great look with a retro look, a physical separation between the front seats and has no windshield. It also has the approvals necessary to roll down the road. However, during the auction held last week in New York, were not received bids by the Concept S and therefore will remain in the same hands.
This model, which takes as base the Lamborghini Gallardo, has barely been used. You only have 180 km on your odometer and probably correspond to the displacements in exhibitions and events such as the Concours d’elegance, in which he has participated. It had a starting price of 2.4 million (2,22 million euros), and it is hoped that it could be sold for approximately 3 million dollars (2.77 million euros).
