Fiat is one of the options most logical for those who want a car with sensible, with a strong practical component and unpretentious sports. Up to now only knew his version of three volumes, that is on sale for little more than € 13,000. At the Geneva motor show, Fiat will present to us their versions compact and family. Two bodies are necessary in any range that aspire to commercial success. Especially interesting seems to me the compact, the price of which could make you in the C-segment more affordable.
Fiat has not communicated for the moment, the dimensions or range end of motorization of these two versions of the Type.
At the design level there are no changes to remark on the bodies compact and family-friendly, at least until we got to the pillar C. In the Type hatchback, the fall of the gate is pronounced, and in this frame some nice optics in the shape of a boomerang. An elegant solution, frankly speaking. A small spoiler sits on top of the roof, framing with a touch of sportiness to the rear. For its part, the family version of the Fiat Type boasts a design in which shares optics with the hatchback, closing his behind in a more practical way, more grid. His trunk could reach out to 600 liters of volume, a figure excellent for a car that for a little over 4.5 meters. The range of engines of these two bodies should be identical to the Type of four doors: a 1.4 from 95 HP and two options with a diesel engine, a 1.3 Multijet of 95 HP and a 1.6 Multijet 120 HP as the engine more powerful.
Seems to be that the SEAT Toledo and Citroën C-Elysee have in the Type of a hard rival, it might eat part of the cake for the Renault Megane or Nissan Pulsar, positioned at a level affordable within the segment C.
