The MINI JCW GP could be back at the end of the decade

few months Ago we saw the arrival of the MINI John Cooper Works Challenge, an issue limited to 100 units that would be only in the Uk. Still, this issue left a good taste in your mouth for his sportsmanship and we did wonder whether I’d get something more interesting in the future. Even already there are some who dare to predict that you could be on your way to a new MINI JCW GP, a name that read it already thrills.

The acronym GP linked to the name John Cooper Works have already been previously used and have been matched with the versions are more powerful and radical of the model. And it seems to be that yes there is some chance that it will reach the market. Peter Schwarzenbauer, head of the brand, what she admitted to saying that this model “is an important part of the MINI brand. It has worked well for us in the past and I don’t see why not in the future.”

Even so, the next MINI JCW GP will not come soon. Previously, this version has taken a place as a final edition to the previous generations. It is currently run by the third generation, and there’s still plenty of journey in the market. It is expected that at the end of the decade appear his successor and therefore could also reach the most radical to date. The philosophy will be the same than in the previous.

What’s more likely is that the new MINI JCW GP will provide more power series, a new suspension and sporty without rear seats to save weight. It could also be a limited model, because the previous only made 2,000 units. In any case we will have to wait to see how it develops this project. While both we have to make with the current MINI John Cooper Works 231 HP from 31.750 euros in Spain.
