Nissan Qashqai came to the market for exactly 10 years. It was a bet by a segment of the SUV, not by a long shot reached the sales figures that we observe today. But the compact crossover was a great success and managed to sell more than 1.5 million units in its first generation in only seven years. Now the second generation of the Qashqai still breaking down barriers.
The last fall has been to become the vehicle more produced in the history of the brand. Recently have been achieved 2.398.134 units produced, surpassing the previous mark that was vaunted by the Nissan Micra with 2.368.704 units. Both models have been produced entirely in the factory Sunderland (United Kingdom), who was proud of the news.
Although the data that we have to keep in mind is that the previous milestone marked by the Micra had been reached after 18 years of production. The Qashqai for its part, has managed to surpass the figure in only a decade. It is not surprising, since each 62 seconds leaves a Qashqai production line. Sunderland produced 58 units every hour and about 1,200 a day of the popular crossover.
This ‘best seller’ seems to have found the formula of success offering the customer an attractive appearance and renewed, dimensions are generous and a reasonable price. Sure that the record will continue to expand with the passage of time, as the bet for this model will not cease. At the Geneva motor show was presented the technology “Piloted Drive“, which will arrive at the Qashqai next year and will allow you to circular autonomously in some situations.
