The Opel Grandland X debuts finish Ultimate and the diesel engine of 177 HP

The relations of cooperation between PSA and Opel, prior to the acquisition of the brand by the French manufacturer, allowed the Opel Grandland X see the light. This compact SUV was unveiled in April of this year 2017 and we were able to see it in person -but does not prove it – during his presentation, static in June. At the end of the summer the company launched to the market with two trim levels –Selective and Excellence– and engines diesel and petrol with 120 and 130 HP respectively.

Now, the signature of the lightning flash extends the offer of its new compact SUV with the arrival of a motorisation diesel 2.0-177 HP with eight-speed automatic transmission and a new level of finish more luxurious so-called Ultimate. This new motorization diesel oil can only be set up, for the moment at least, with this new premium finish that today we are unveiling.

Engine 2.0 diesel 177 HP for the Opel Grandland X

As we cited above, the new diesel engine is a 2.0-liter, eroga 177 HP to 3.750 rpm and 400 Nm of torque from 2,000 rpm. Such mechanics can only be associated to the eight-speed automatic transmission, the same one that also used the new Badge in some versions.

According to the data of approval, the Opel Grandland X with this mechanical consumes by 4.8 l/100 km in mixed cycle, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/9.1 seconds and obtains a top speed of 214 km/h. The 2.0 turbo diesel 177 CV uses an SCR system (Selective Reduction Catalyst) with AdBlue to reduce the dangerous emissions of NOx.

on the other hand, and as I desvelábamos at the start of this article, the Opel Grandland X also debuts a new finish, more luxurious. It is called Ultimate, and is positioned as top of range level of equipment in the compact SUV. In the exterior added wheels bicolor in 19 inch, roof rails chrome, and gloss black for the roof and exterior mirrors.

In the cabin appear the always comfortable seats AGR of the German brand, fabric, mixed fabric and leather and the sports pedals in aluminum. Also added a sound system, Denon with eight speakers and subwoofer, DAB radio, OnStar system, infotainment with, Navi, 5.0 IntelliLink with 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless charging for smartphones.

To all of the above we must add elements of active safety as adaptive headlights led, view camera 360 degrees, assistant advanced parking, detection of fatigue, alert collision with pedestrian detection, emergency braking and correction of trajectory in the lane, among others.
