Not all days are put up for sale a piece of history of motorsport. The next may 14, the prestigious auction house RM Sotheby’s will allow to bid for an extraordinary Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Evolution 1, one of the cars of legend in the world of rally.
Only produced 20 units T16 Evolution 1, an exclusivity that further highlighted by the fact that the car that is auction -with the number of series C11 – was led by in the season of 1985 of the World Rally championship for the Finnish driver Ari Vatanen. With him he achieved two victories.
Monte carlo and Sweden were the trials inaugural season of 1985 and this Peugeot won both tests. This car also participated in the Rally of Portugal, where he managed three stage wins before the Champion of the World Rally championship in 1981, was forced to retreat by the rupture of the suspension.

RM Sotheby’s expects the auction the bidding on this true icon of the rally prowl around between 600,000 and 800,000 euros. However, it is not excluded that it will exceed a million euros, a figure never before reached a car of the Group B.
