The second generation Porsche Panamera has its confirmed for the Geneva Motor Show next year presence. A more streamlined design and weight reduction over the outgoing model is expected.
H ace a few days, the CEO of Porsche and now president of Volksagen Group Matthias Müller , gave an interview the publication Indian Autosblog , which officially confirmed that second generation Porsche Panamera will make its world debut in the framework of Geneva Motor Show , which will take place next March.
Although Müller did not go into details about new Panamera , the fact is that considering their presence confirmed for Geneva in March, possibly marketing is scheduled for sometime second half 2016 . The model is expected to evolve in terms of design, to adopt a format something more compact and stylish , one of the key points in order to improve what had been the most disputed first generation model item.
However, Porsche had already confirmed earlier that we should not expect big changes at the aesthetic level, that is the model shall maintain a similar visual , but some improvements in its proportions . Thanks to the spy pictures taken with the models carried out dailies, we know its back sector will be quite different and especially less bulky than the outgoing model.
In addition, thanks to the adoption of new architecture , which is based on the MSB platform the new Panamera will lose weight about 90 kilograms , partly due to the use of materials lighter as aluminum and magnesium . Underhood new turbo engines, both V6 and V8 blocks, and a hybrid variant and V6 turbodiesel expected.
