Deconstructing myths and misgivings: who said that a saloon compact, and a small three-cylinder engine are not good travel companions? The Skoda Octavia incorporates a new engine in its range, the three-cylinder, turbocharged 1.0 TSI, which offers a power of 115 HP.
This block is already present in other models of the Volkswagen Group, as the utility Seat Ibiza or Volkswagen Polo -in both cases with 95 HP, and now reaches a larger model and aspirations. With a liter of displacement, the Skoda Octavia 1.0 TSI reaches the 115 HP and 200 Nm of torque, combining great performance and reduced consumption.
With this little engine and its manual change of six speeds, the Skoda Octavia is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds, reaching 202 km/h of maximum speed. On the other hand, your average consumption approved shall be 5.4 liters/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 104 g/km, giving as a result a engine access is very well-balanced.
The Skoda Octavia 1.0 TSI will also be available with DSG dual-clutch seven-speed: in this case, its 0-100 km/h is completed in 10.0 seconds, and its CO2 emissions amounted to 106 g/km engine 1.0 TSI will progressively replace the current 1.2 TSI four-cylinder, at least in certain countries.
