During the last years it has been thought that the models sport RS Skoda would not have much of a future. Currently only remains in the range the Skoda Octavia RS and does not offer all the sensations of a true sports car. Although it seems that the Czech brand will continue to stand by these models and that in the near future could extend the range. And it seems to be that the more ballots you have would be the Skoda Superb RS.
That same has ceased to fall Michael Irmer, director of Skoda Australia, which said that “it would be absolutely fantastic for us to have it (the Superb RS). I have heard that the factory is trying to evaluate now, but it is not confirmed yet”. Also questioned the choice of what engines could carry and if there was a diesel version and other gasoline, as is currently happening with the Octavia RS.
In the case of this version come to life, it would obviously have to be more powerful and faster q
In the Octavia RS the engines used are the diesel 2.0 TDI with 184 HP meanwhile, the gasoline more powerful is the 2.0 TSI 230 HP. What is certain is that in other countries there is a version of the Superb with engine 2.0 TSI and 280 HP, so that a variant RS would be closer to the latter. What is more likely is that if it comes to production this model would far exceed the 300 HP and the performance of the Octavia, making the 0-100 km/h in just over 5 seconds.
But in addition to considering the Superb RS, it seems that the Czech brand is considering the option of a Skoda Kodiaq RS. The new SUV could get a sports version with over 200 HP and an aesthetic more aggressive according to some rumors. Although it would happen the same with the Superb, that to bring them to production, you have to see that there is a demand large enough that can justify its existence in terms of sales.
