The Auto Shanghai was the setting for Soueast Motor to introduce SUV DX7 designed by Pininfarina. The Italian design studio, which is about to be acquired by the Indian Mahindra has extensive experience in creating vehicles for the Chinese market.
P ecause not only Ferrari and Maserati can live at Auto Shanghai presented this week the first Chinese SUV designed by Pininfarina. This is the SEM DX7 a compact SUV of Chinese Soueast Motor , which in a few weeks will begin marketing in their country of origin.
The Chinese already have their first SUV designed by Pininfarina.
With a nice-looking body, SEM DX7 shines with a curved lines, with bulging wheel arches and muscular look , which is topped with a roof line with a well inclined format.
The same goes for the interior, which comes with a stripped design, in which the great pop screen multimedia equipment takes center stage. The panel is finished in a combination of two-tone while it has some details in silver.
Among its elements are standard equipment elements such as ABS with EBD, airbags, electronic stability control rollover protection, dual-zone automatic climate control, automated parking, roof panoramic glass and electrically operated tailgate, among the most notable.
Neither Soueast Motor and Pininfarina spread more specific technical details, so it is not known what the DX7 hides under its hood. Pininfarina has already designed several vehicles to Chinese manufacturers, especially since it was established in Beijing in the 90s and more recently in Shanghai, producing some creations BAIC, Chery and Brilliance among others.
