The winter quiet of Lada in WTCC


The planning of Lada in the WTCC has always left much to be desired. The trademark Russian landed in the championship in 2008 with a humble Lada 110 2.0, and it also competed with the Lada Priora intermittently. He returned to the championship in 2013 with the Lada Granta WTCC, a car that garnered the first points of the brand for that season. A decision somewhat peculiar since a year later entered into force the regulations TC1, forcing you to transform the Granta to the new technical requirements. In 2015 premiered the Lada Vesta TC1, putting an end to a whirlwind of changes.

With a pair of wins on the road, if something can’t be denied Lada Sports is working. Virtually every year has had to develop a vehicle from scratch for the requirements of the regulation, by business strategy or by lack of competitiveness. In the preseason of 2014 was adapted by the Lada Granta to the regulations TC1 and in the winter prior to the season 2015 approved the Lada Vesta TC1. The short-term goal of the Russian team goes through an evolution
of the suspension, the chassis and the address of the Lada Vesta TC1
while another team of technicians are working on getting
improve the software of the electronic control unit that manages the delivery

technical ORECA to develop your vehicle
