First was her participation in the 12 Hours of Mugello with the Mercedes-Benz SLS GT3 of Martin Prokop, and then the invitation from Renault to compete in the Renault Sport Trophy in Spa-Francorchamps with the Renault R. S. 01. Everything seemed geared to that Robert Kubica would return to compete in circuits the next season, and so it was clear the Polish, by stating that there were various options on the table and a 90% chance of returning to the circuit. However, this speech could have become obsolete as explained by several Polish media in the last few hours.
Robert Kubica has always confessed that he would like to continue in the WRC, but that it was not possible to not have the support of a manufacturer. The Polish found in their own meats the hardness of compete as private with a budget outrageous that only offers media limited and few options are virtually impossible to beat the official riders. However, this situation could have suffered a rollover after the alleged conversations that Kubica would have stayed in Corsica with Tommi Mäkinen, the main responsible for the project that will return to Toyota in the World with the Toyota Yaris WRC.
According to Polish media, Robert Kubica could be the big surprise of Toyota’s Gazoo Racing and become the third rider of the mark in the season 2017 WRC. With Juho Hänninen confirmed as first pilot and Esapekka Lappi as an option almost certain for the second Toyota, the Polish would have a program reduced since the third drive of the Yaris WRC will reach well into the season. In this way, Robert Kubica would have a program of seven rallies in 2017, in a project that would provide a gateway to a full programme of the 2018 and in which the Polish Federation of motor Racing would have a lot to say.
