Why is it so unique? You might be wondering… well, on the one hand, this Porsche belongs to a limited edition, which implies that only large and powerful collectors will be able to be with him. On the other hand, is a model, legendary for the many and important events that he won in his cortísima trajectory.
This model, began its marketing in 1964 and discontinued in 1965. Its unique design reminds us of other nostalgic models of the era, such as the Ferrari Dino or the Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ. After a lengthy list of achievements, the 904 Carrera GTS returned to Germany and received a deep restoration among the best skilled hands of Porsche. Now we can say that the 904 is one of the classic best rated from the factory Stuttgart.
Perhaps, one of the most eye-catching of this charismatic model, is that is the first Porsche created with fiberglass body (Heinkel). This aspect is really shocking if we think that your dry weight is only 640 Kg. It was created to compete in the category of Gran Tursimo of up to 2.0 litres in the Endurance World Championship. For this reason, and due to that the regulations of approval of the GT class required a certain number of vehicles to be marketed to the public; only produced 120 units.
The Porsche 904 Carrera GTS that we can see in the pictures, corresponds to the chassis number 086. this vehicle came out of the dealer French Porsche Sonauto, located specifically in Paris. He spent 6 years passing through the hands of different owners; among them, it is worth highlighting three runners who were exhibiting at this quoted 904 by the legendary careers of; 12 Hours of Reims, coupes des Alps, Flandres meeting, meeting, Ardennes, Course de cote Ceyreste, Chamrousse, Routes North, Mont Ventoux and the Tour de Course.
A unfortunate accident caused the 904 Carrera GTS back to the factory Porsche. There, we rode on a new chassis and restored the body. With respect to the motor, it remained completely original; however, the gearbox was replaced by full. Next to the restoration, were carried out numerous improvements as the aerodynamics, which study consciousness or the implementation of a a more rigid chassis.

Fortunately, they retained the old engine.
