Three million of Mazda’s new-generation have been manufactured

four years Ago, Mazda began manufacture a new generation of models, as it had consummated the divorce of Ford and needed more production. The first to go in the saga was the Mazda CX-5, anticipated by the Concept Minagi early 2011.

The new generation is based on these pillars:

  • design Language KODO, soul of motion
  • Engines, chassis and transmissions SKYACTIV efficiency
  • safety Systems i-ACTIVSENSE
  • Systems connectivity MZD Connect

Under these principles, have left the Mazda2, Mazda3, Mazda6, CX-3, CX-5, MX-5 and CX-9. This last will go on sale next year, with the spotlight on the north american market. Some models were not renewed, as RX-8, Mazda5 or CX-7.

At the end of November had been manufactured 3.050.000 units in the plants in Japan, Thailand, Mexico and China. For a manufacturer so small as Mazda, it has been a step forward. The alliances with Toyota and Fiat have also contributed to the consolidation of Mazda as a manufacturer of independent and global.
