In the Lounge of Tokyo In 2015, Nissan has shone especially with two prototypes. The first of them, the Nissan IDS Concept has great importance not only for its design, but also by an overwhelming demonstration of technology that includes driving autonomous and an electric motor with autonomy of 600 km, thanks to a able lithium battery of 60kWh.

there has Also been site for the Nissan Theatre for Dayz, a curious futuristic cubic design, focused especially to the local public. But have not been the only prototypes seen at their stand, as their brand of ‘low cost’ Datsun has also had a presence, presenting the world premiere of this Datsun GO-Cross Concept.

it Was clear that, sooner or later, Datsun will market a ‘crossover’ compact, price very affordable and aimed at those emerging markets in which the company has presence (for the moment, India, Indonesia, south Africa and Russia). Well, here’s what we have to prototype prior.

Under the premise of a car is purely functional, and intended for use in the day-to-day as in leisure, Datsun GO-Cross will become soon a new member of the family of models GO, marketed in South Asia. First came the subcompact Datsun GO, after the Datsun GO+ -with bodywork mpv – and the next landing will be this crossover.

the design of The Datsun GO-Cross represents an important step forward with respect to their models, precedents, and is much more modern and attractive, looking to get rid of that label of “low cost”. Employs the same platform as the Datsun GO+, and transmits robustness in details such as your bumpers, moldings, protective or optical front and rear LED which, we surmise, will not be in the final model because of costs.

This new model of Datsun will arrive at the beginning of 2016, seated on the platform CMF-a TO the alliance Renault Nissan (the same of the Renault Kwid). Once you arrive at the production, the Datsun GO-Cross will have an important role to increase the market share of the brand in those countries in which it is present: in this new era of Datsun have already been sold a few to 114,000 vehicles.
