Hisatake Murata, is the new president of Toyota’s Gazoo Racing in the WEC, every time the executive japanese has also assumed the position of president of Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG) with immediate effect. Until now, Hisatake Murata had been responsible for the development of the hybrid powertrain that Toyota has used in competition since the debut of their first hybrid car race in 2006. Since the arrival of Toyota in the Endurance World in 2012, Murata has overseen this project, in addition to working extensively with TMG in the projects of the mark in Champ Car, Group C, Le Mans and more recently on the successful programs in Super GT and Super Formula the company. Although the arrival of Murata is not binding, the renewal in the staff of Toyota Gazoo Racing in the WEC invites us to think that the brand is considering to continue with your program even without the presence of Porsche.
