TVR announced its return to the market in 2017 with sporty rear-wheel drive based architecture iStream from Gordon Murray and a motor V8 developed by Cosworth.
E n 2013 the commercial rights to the brand TVR were purchased by a new owner. Now the investor group led by Les Edgar announced that within two years hit the market new product British brand, designed by former McLaren Gordon Murray and with the support of Cosworth.
Based on the iStream architecture, the new TVR will Bosworth V8 engine.
In recent statements to the British publication Autocar, Les Edgar indicated that this is a sporty rear-wheel drive front engine and manual transmission, which will be built on the architecture iStream designed by Murray, that is based on a tubular chassis structure covered with composite panels. The iStream however be released shortly before the MOTIV, first CITYC Yamaha.
Under the hood of the new TVR will have a propellant with block V8 developed by Cosworth , which still no details are known and that will be associated with a manual six-speed transmission and RWD .
Nor nothing is known about what their outward appearance, beyond the composite panels that will shape your body. But as production starts in 2017, the first pictures will be here soon.
TVR aims to produce around 1,000 or 1,500 units per year , which realizes its intentions to offer their product unitedly in the local market, at least in a first stage.
