At the Goodwood Festival of Speed brings together hundreds of jewels of motorsports that have written the history books, much of the production, as out of the competition. One of them has been in the Williams FW08, car that took Keke Rosberg to get his only world title in Formula 1.
In 1982, Rosberg played the title until the end, with Didier Pironi and, despite getting only one win in the entire season, was able to defeat the French Ferrari with a five-point margin. In addition to the triumph in the Grand Prix of Switzerland, Keke got a pole position at Silverstone and six podiums in total, based on the achievement of the championship in a great regularity.
The Williams FW08, which was designed by Patrick Head and Neil Oatley and Frank Dernie, had the legendary engine Cosworth DFV, a chassis monocoque aluminum and Goodyear tires.
