Valtteri Bottas took the final victory of a season that has had Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes to the winners in both championships. In Abu Dhabi, the dispute for the victory was reduced to the duel between both drivers, with Sebastian Vettel in second place to complete the podium.
Nico Hülkenberg was the star of the day in the intermediate group, managing to finish sixth to give Renault the identical position in the championship, though thanks in part to a maneuver controversy with Sergio Perez.
In regards to the spaniards, Fernando Alonso ended the season with a commendable ninth place after an interesting duel with Felipe Massa and spaniard Carlos Sainz.
