Salon Los Angeles has opened its doors today and comes loaded of novelties. This morning we saw the Volkswagen Beetle Dune, and now comes another version: Volkswagen Beetle Denim. This model pays homage to the Beetle Jeans Bug of the 70’s and has as main theme the denim fabric. In addition it is planned to reach dealerships in the united States in early 2016.
Takes as a basis the Volkswagen Beetle Cabrio and will be a special edition limited to 2,000. Half of the production will be painted in a color Pure White and the other half will go in the Stonewashed Blue that we see in the images. In both cases the soft top will be the same color blue, with a texture intended to imitate denim.
The interior also has a unique style. The seats will remind us of the jeans that we have jobs or we have in the closet. Thanks to a combination of fabric and leather will get a result very real, even with seams and pockets that will never go unnoticed. The infotainment system is the MIB-II that has a 5-inch screen, rear vision camera, and the latest in connectivity.
The Volkswagen Beetle Denim will only be available with a single engine. It will be the turbocharged petrol four-cylinder and 1.8-liter TSI. It is logical that they have removed the offer diesel of this model due to the scandal in the united States with the Dieselgate. This engine offered a power of 170 horsepower and 294 Nm of torque and will be linked to a gearbox six-speed automatic.
