The butt-end of the compact for excellence is the R version, the Volkswagen Golf R. In this way is born the Volkswagen Golf R Performance. The main difference is that the Golf R Performance look for a greater differentiation aesthetic, more sportiness and a higher equipment. In addition, we can install a system of exhaust in titanium made by Akrapovic. This version more sporty used tyres practically of the competition, as are the Pirelli Trofeo R.
Under the engine Golf R Performance there are no changes, what disappoints us a little. Still using the engine 2.0 TSI of 310 HP and 400 Nm; the same that mounts its cousin the Audi S3. This is associated to a dual clutch transmission and the system of all-wheel-drive 4Motion. The maximum speed of the Golf R is 250 km/h, limited electronically; with the Golf R Performance you eliminate the limiter so that it touches the 267 km/h. Its acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is 4.6 seconds.
