The Volkswagen Lamando, was premiered in the year 2014 as one of those cars born by and for China. Manufactured by the joint-venture Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive, we are looking at a sedan of compact size, with a dynamic design inspired by the prototype prior Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe, in the style of four-door coupé.
Until now, the Volkswagen Lamando is sold with petrol engines 1.4 TSI and 1.8 TSI, rising to 180 HP in the latter. With this new version of ‘GTS’, which will be on sale shortly in China, it goes a little further and we can already speak of a GTI right: this Volkswagen Lamando GTS incorporates the engine 2.0 TSI with 220 HP and 350 Nm of maximum torque.
We are talking about the same engine and same power output of the Volkswagen Golf GTI, so the Lamando GTS may well be considered as a version sister to the iconic compact format of four doors. With gearbox DSG, and its chassis gets a sport suspension, alloy wheels specific and a body kit sports, which recognizes the traditional grill grate with the red line or a bumper very similar to your own Golf GTI.
In its rear there is a spoiler on your trunk, as well as bumper-specific and a double exhaust exit design. The side skirts and rear view mirrors in black are another distinctive of this Volkswagen Lamando GTS.
