On the Shanghai Auto Show Volvo XC90 Excellence will not be alone. In the same stand will be present Volvo S60L T6 Twin Engine , a new hybrid variant with petrol engine long wheelbase version of the S60. This engine will be linked to the S60L exclusively for the Chinese market. With this, and plug-in hybrids will be four models of the Volvo range. On one side is the Volvo XC90 T8, followed by the pioneer, the Volvo V60 Twin Engine D6 and D5 Volvo V60 Twin Engine presented at the last Geneva Motor Show.
Under the hood of the Volvo S60L T6 Twin Engine found a motor 2.0 turbo petrol Drive-E family that delivers 238 horses and 350 Nm of torque. To this must be added the 68 horses and 200 Nm of torque which can add the electric motor. Son combined 306 horses . It is a plug-in hybrid with lithium ion batteries of 11.2 kWh. Their autonomy in electric mode is 53 km and CO2 emissions are fixed at 49 g / km.
Volvo highlights the positive aspects of this model in the Chinese market, to be automatically admitted to be enrolled in cities with high pollution limiting enrollments, as in Shanghai and its metropolitan area.
This variant will be manufactured by and for China’s factory mark in Chengdu , the one in which the Volvo S60L long wheelbase, a model that even marketed in the United States is manufactured. Recently intentions were known by Volvo that all future hybrid models in the range are versions.
