Worked-two for Ferrari on the powerless Mercedes

Sebastian Vettel goes on vacation more of a leader of the World more than it had before starting the race in Hungary. The German had allies to the strategy and to a Kimi Räikkönen that had to be paste during a good part of the race with Lewis Hamilton, especially at the end of the test. The English, on the last lap, returned the third square to Valtteri Bottas, who was third at the end.

Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz gelled a good ‘top 10’, with the McLaren 6th and Toro Rosso in 7th. Although the two ran together throughout the race, there was a struggle as clean as on other occasions. Alonso also took the fastest lap of the test in the last turn.

Mess in Red Bull

The output had three protagonists. On the positive side, Sebastian Vettel and Carlos Sainz, both brilliantly and in the case of madrid, overtaking the two Mclarens at the start. On the negative, it was Red Bull is instructed to light the wick of the controversy in the first round.

fiery Max Verstappen, in his attempt to ascend to podium positions, was ahead of his companion Daniel Ricciardo, leading to its abandonment. “You’re a loser,” he complained over the radio. The anger of the australian was tremendous, and even the words of Marko to calm him down managed to erase of her face the rictus seriously. The stewards punished the dutchman with 10 seconds.

In the resumption, after the eloquent ‘safety car’ by the incident of the Red Bull, there was tension between the Spanish. Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso were fighting for sixth place, when the Toro Rosso opened up over the line and touched with the rear wheel left side with the McLaren. Despite the complaints of the spaniard, there was no sanction for his friend.

Problems for the leader

Just after Romain Grosjean became the second pilot that he left in this race (a wheel improperly placed in the tire change), Sebastian Vettel began to notice problems in the tires. The leader of the race he complained that the steering was more stiff, especially in the curves to the right, which allowed Kimi Räikkönen approach. It was not enough to pass on the track, so that everything was for the pits… and he almost goes well to Finnish, but neither will forward you there.

Not bit his tongue Räikkönen, who complained of the ‘newbie’ Paul Di Resta (“What the fuck does that Williams? Should be on the things that reports”) and of the own attitude of the team to raise the stops: “I Had speed to go ahead.”

While, behind it, the Mercedes tried to do the undercut at all, but that did not went well. After the stops, Bottas and Hamilton both went behind the Ferrari.

Alonso wins the fight Spanish

If before I had had a stiff, with the arrival of their pit stops there was also a serious struggle for the ninth position. Alonso came out stuck to Sainz pit, and after shooting one and another time the car (with the out of track included), the asturian cooked the advancement to her over in the third corner of the circuit.

, The problems of Vettel, far away, rose. Until Räikkönen asked by radio if anything happened, because I saw his driving more erratic than normal. With the German problems, the Mercedes got so close that Räikkönen did not hesitate to go back to complain: “you have put Me in a pressure excessive with the Mercedes!”.

team Orders at Mercedes

Hamilton used the radio (the recovered) then, to complain that the problems of Ferrari and his teammate to pass him were hindering, so that with very little disguise, was ordered from off the wall that Bottas might pass.

The order of team had a counterpart: Hamilton promised, and so they told it to Bottas, that if it was not able to pass Räikkönen, I would return that third square. However, the strategy of Ferrari is what made it very difficult.

knowing that Hamilton was going to put the complicated things, Räikkönen was asked to remain in a close distance to Vettel, so that he could use the DRS even without passing, and so to defend itself from the stakes of the british.

Vettel, more of a leader of the World

With Hamilton close, but not enough the situation of the podium did not change in the final straight of the race. Vettel rode out the victory without any major problems, with Räikkönen in accordance with the second position and a Hamilton close but not enough.

More tense was the fight for the fourth place: Verstappen was in the DRS zone of Bottas and, ironically, that made it very complicated that Hamilton could return the position, so in the end the finn was left out of the podium and glancing at the rear-view mirror so that the Red Bull will not take off the podium.

however, in a demonstration of fair play (or a suicide sporty, depending on how you look at it), Hamilton waited to the last lap for a return to the podium to his teammate, who loses more distance in general. He was also the protagonist Alonso, who took the fastest lap.

With this result, Vettel is going for a vacation more of a leader in front of Hamilton, 14 points advantage, while McLaren gets his best result of the season, with the sixth place from Alonso and the tenth of Vandoorne.
