Jaguar XF Sportbrake
Where I said I say, I say Diego. days ago we did echo a few statements of Ian Callum, head of Jaguar design, Automotive News. In them, we understood that the british announced that Jaguar would have no more family models in its range, due to a decrease of demand of these bodies and to the difficulty to make them viable. Now it turns out that we can apply the popular Spanish proverb to the words of Callum.
According to the jede of design of Jaguar, his statements to Automotive News were misinterpreted. This has been clarified on his Twitter account, where he has said that he meant that there will not be a Jaguar XE Sportbrake, or what is the same, family. That does not confirm that there will be new family models in Jaguar, but it certainly makes all of us we are imagining this new model.
I have been mis-quoted in @Automotive_News regarding the future of Sportbrake. I said there would be no XE Sportbrake. Nothing more!

Having ruled out the Jaguar XE to receive the which would be the third body family of jaguar (after the X-Type and the first XF), there is only one candidate in the range Jaguar to carry the surname Sportbrake. The second generation of the Jaguar XF would be the only one that might come back to try their luck in the segment of the family, against models like the BMW 5-Series, Audi A6 and Mercedes E-Class, among others.
will we See finally a new Jaguar XF Sportbrake? Hopefully yes, but in the affirmative case, the road ahead for Jaguar will not be flat. The family is a segment that only has a prominent presence in Europe, where unfortunately for Jaguar, prevails the three premium brands of germany. A sales volume significantly lower than that of its rivals could be the only obstacle to this all-new Jaguar family materializase.
